Common Questions
How much does a roof restoration cost?
There is no single figure, because the price follows the roof: its size, its pitch, whether the home is single or double storey, the material, and how much repair the tiles or sheets need before any coating goes on. That is why we quote in writing, itemised, after we have been up on the roof, so you can see what each part of the job costs and there are no surprises later. The inspection and the quote are free.
Is a roof restoration actually worth it?
Often, yes, but not always. If the roof is sound and the main problems are faded coating, cracked pointing and a few broken tiles, a restoration brings it back for a good deal less than a full replacement. If the roof is failing underneath, we will tell you a restoration is only papering over it. We would rather lose the job than sell you work that will not last.
What is the cheapest way to fix a roof?
Usually the smallest honest repair: repointing the ridge caps, replacing the broken tiles and sealing where it leaks, rather than restoring the whole roof when it does not need it. A free inspection tells us which of those your roof genuinely needs, and we steer you to the smaller job when the smaller job is the right one.
